The Takex TX-114TR Wireless-Ready Dual-Zone Outdoor PIR Detector provides battery-powered motion detection for entrances, walls, passages and perimeter areas. Designed for residential, commercial and professional alarm installations, it covers up to 12 metres across a 90° field. Its rear compartment accommodates a compatible third-party wireless transmitter, allowing the detector to be added to suitable wireless alarm systems without running alarm cable back to the control panel.
Key Features
- Reduces unwanted outdoor alarms. Dual-zone detection requires movement across both the horizontal and downward zones before an alarm is generated.
- Covers up to 12 metres. Adjust the detection distance between approximately 2 and 12 metres to suit entrances, passages, walls and boundaries.
- Directs coverage where required. The sensor head rotates horizontally through ±90° for wide-angle, wall-side or perimeter protection.
- Works with compatible wireless transmitters. The enlarged rear compartment provides space for many third-party transmitter and battery combinations.
- Supports long battery operation. Ultra-low current consumption makes the detector suitable for battery-powered installations where frequent battery replacement is undesirable.
- Offers flexible power choices. Operates from a suitable 39V alkaline or lithium battery, depending on the transmitter and system design.
- Protects against interference. Triple tamper monitoring can report removal of the cover, separation of the detector body and removal from the wall or pole.
- Adapts to the installation environment. Adjustable sensitivity, selectable pulse count and area masking help the installer fine-tune detection performance.
Did You Know?
- The TX-114TR is not a complete wireless detector on its own. The internal PIR provides the detection, while a separately selected transmitter sends the alarm signal to the compatible wireless system.
- Dual-zone operation is based on detection geometry rather than a published pet-weight rating. Correct mounting height, range adjustment and ground level are essential for reducing activations caused by small animals.
- The detector includes selectable output-inhibition periods of 10, 120, 300 or 900 seconds. This can reduce repeated radio transmissions and help preserve battery life in active outdoor areas.
Compatibility & App Support
The TX-114TR is wireless-ready but does not contain a radio transmitter. A compatible third-party transmitter must be fitted inside the rear compartment and connected to the detectors alarm and tamper outputs.
The selected transmitter must accept the detectors low-current solid-state output and fit inside the available compartment. The detector and transmitter may share a suitable battery or use separate batteries, depending on their voltage requirements.
This product does not connect directly to an app. App control or notifications depend on the wireless transmitter, alarm panel and communication service used with it. Professional installation and compatibility testing are recommended.
