In less than 500 years more than 2,000 ships have been consigned to a watery grave on the South African coast and the number of souls lost untallied. Table Bay itself is littered with about 400 wrecks, 70 of which are buried under the reclaimed land of Cape Town's foreshore. This book records the intriguing stories of a few of these wrecks.
