An easy-to-read and beautifully illustrated version of the original Canterbury Tales written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer between 1387 and 1400. Canterbury Cathedral housed the famous shrine of the martyr Thomas Becket, and men from every part of England, and even from Europe, travelled there on pilgrimage. In this story, every member of the pilgrimage tells a tale during the journey, i.a. the miller, the cook, the prioress, the wife of Bath, Hubert the friar, the squire and the parson. With lovely old-style pen drawings.
