This Tamron 70-300 Di LD outperforms it's Canon and Sigma counterparts like the 75-300 and 100-300 with or without ISM and almost equals the Canon L lens for quality. It's a lightweight, compact, high image quality telephoto zoom lens with a macro capability of 1:2 that can be used with Canon EOS 300D, 350D, 400D, 20D, 30D and other Canon digital SLRs. This is the new Di type lens using an optical system with multi coating designed to function with Digital SLR cameras as well as film cameras. Macro function enables true macro close up shots of flowers, insects, wildlife and other subjects. The optical system incorporates an LD (low dispersion) lens, resulting in clear and sharp pictures free of chromatic aberration. Used twice only.
