The lovemaking in "Tango City," with the exception of the fourth pairing, comes off without urgency. The men enjoy their sex much like they would a good meal or engaging conversation, hooking up without the obvious fanfare. Absent is the precision and sly seduction two dancers employ when dancing an authentic tango, but the steps here are no less sweet to watch. I'd recommend starting at the end and working backwards through the film. Gustavo and Marcello are the over-the-top dessert after a sedate, albeit pleasant, meal.
