 TANZANITE AND DIAMOND STERLING SILVER RING

This pretty piece has an unusual design - the 10mm long x 16mm wide ring head has an almost geometric design, with a frame of sterling silver bracketing 15 x claw set round cut tanzanite above and below, with two shorter brackets on either side. within the brackets, framing the tanzanites are 10 x small round cut diamonds adding just a hint of something special to the piece. The shank is slender, forking on the shoulders to hold the ring head. The colour of the tanzanite gemstones is a gentle lilac. The piece weighs a solid 3,3 grams and bears the jeweller's signature and the 925 hallmark indicating sterling silver. I bought the piece from a favourite vintage dealer in London, but I doubt it was made there and it is vintage but not seriously old. A solid little piece, big enough to be noticed without being too hefty.
