This delightful ring is evocative of theatre and the glitter of a masked ball. 13 strong violet tanzanites totalling 0,28 carats are claw set set in sterling silver. The eliptical horizontal design is 14mm wide and wraps right across the finger. The main feature of the piece is the interesting openwork detail in the centre of the ring head. The 'eye holes' of the mask flank 3 round-cut raised tanzanites that run down the centre, from which 4 marquise-cut stones spread outward in diagonals. Two semi-circular wreath-like c-shapes are pushed towards central stones with openwork detail keeping the design elements separate. The simple shank ends in 3 jagged points on the shoulders where the shank meets the ring head. The ring bears the hallmark '975' indicating sterling silver and the gemstones are tested and authenticated. Unusual and creative in design, with a lovely colour combination, this piece is a delight on the hand.
