This item is in a good condition, but requires a bit of TLC. I used it for many years doing various observations. Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Moon were some of the objects viewed. The objective lens is in a good condition.
The clockwork drive motor was not used by me, but I have checked it and it does go. It may need a bit of a service. The speed control is missing. The hand controls work fine.
There are three eyepieces 9mm, 20mm and 25mm. The focal length of the telescope is 1200 mm. There is a Tasco Zoom eyepiece with adjustable settings 6mm to 18mm. My experience has shown that the best magnifications for this telescope is 80 to 100X, depending on the brightness off the object that is being viewed.
It is pretty heavy, so the buyer will need to arrange their own collection. The telescope is in Pretoria Eastern suburbs.
There is also a right angle viewer and a camera holder, the latter I have never used. Sorry I do not have the carry-case.
If this item is given to a youngster, please impress on them not to look at the sun through it. This is extremely dangerous.
Any questions....Let's have them.
