Theinsides of the slots are tin plated for stable and reliable connections. Theconnector is supplied with a pre-assembled cover, providing excellentpositioning of the ribbon cable before and during the insulation displacementprocess. After termination the cover is held in place by each individual contactin addition to two plastic latches at both ends of the connector. TheMicro-Match male-on-wire connector is specifically designed to be disengagedfrom its counterpart by pulling the cable in the appropriate direction.
