DESCRIPTION | Here's a really scarce British Bone China tea trio which is now very nearly 100 years old. Produced by Royal Coleston (Collington Brothers) in 1914 at the outbreak of World War I. The cup, saucer and cake plate all depict an emblem with the flags of the Allies against Germany at that stage (Russia, France, Great Britain and Belgium). The wording 'Freedom and Justice' also appears on this emblem. Beautifully made of thin top quality Bone China and with excellent hand - coloured underglaze decoration. The top diameters of the items are: Cup - 8 cm, Saucer - 14.5 cm and cake plate - 17.5 cm. An image of the item is shown above. See the 4 images which follow for more particulars. |
CONDITION | Every piece of this trio is in excellent condition. It was never used but always on display in a cabinet. |
