The Technics SU-Z2 is a classic early-1980s Japanese integrated amplifier combining Technics' distinctive styling with a practical selection of inputs, tone controls, filters and large analogue VU power meters. The SU-Z2 is an appealing choice for anyone putting together a vintage hi-fi system or looking for a classic Japanese integrated amplifier with useful connectivity and the unmistakable visual character of early-1980s Technics equipment.
The SU-Z2 was introduced around 19801981 and delivers 35 watts per channel into 8, making it a well-suited amplifier for a wide range of vintage and modern bookshelf or floor-standing speakers. HiFi Engine currently records multiple owner reviews, including reports of long-term ownership and continued use.
It features MM phono, tuner, two tape connections and AUX, together with two speaker outputs and a headphone connection. The large front-panel VU meters add to the unmistakable vintage appearance of the amplifier.
The amplifier is in good vintage condition for its age, with the usual consideration that a piece of equipment from the early 1980s may show cosmetic signs of previous use. Please study all photographs carefully as they show the actual item being offered for sale.
Serviced and fully functional.
