TEDDY HERMANN BEARS:
Teddy Hermann is Germany's second-oldest teddy bear manufacturer, celebrated globally for its high-quality plush toys and intricate collectibles. The historical timeline of the company and its signature ultra-small micro miniatures (ranging from 4cm to 6cm) reflects a rich legacy of European craftsmanship.
In 1912 Bernhard Hermann founds the family business in Sonneberg, Germanythen the heart of the world toy industry. He begins producing teddy bears and dolls under his initials "BE HA".
After WW2 due to the division of Germany, Bernhard and his sons flee East Germany. They move the business to Hirschaid in Upper Franconia (near Bamberg), where the headquarters remains today.
Following Bernhard's death in 1959, his three sons take over, expanding the brand globally. In the late 1970s, they introduce the famous red plastic seal logo, which remains the brand's primary mark of authenticity.
Run by succeeding generations of granddaughters and family heirs, the company pivots hard into the collectors' market. They formalize the "Hermann Teddy Original" range, manufacturing limited-edition artisanal mohair bears.

Making a fully-jointed teddy bear at only 4cm to 5.5cm tall requires extreme skill. These tiny marvels feature 5-way jointed limbs and heads that fully rotate despite their microscopic size.
Unlike cheap plastic miniatures, Teddy-Hermann's 4cm lines are made using genuine, short-pile woven mohair. They feature hand-stitched noses and tiny glass eyes.
They are finished with the signature red Hermann seal or miniature chest tags.
