Custom made 21 Frets Roasted Maple Neck for Telecaster Guitars with stainless steel frets. The wood has been finished in vintage spec nitrocellulose lacquer and a satin finish for ultra smooth feel.

What is Roasted Maple?

Roasted maple necks undergo a special kiln drying process which involves heating the wood to over 200 degrees in a special kiln, removing the moisture from the wood. This process vulcanizes the wood, making it stronger. The big advantage is that after this process, the wood becomes much less susceptible to moisture and climate changes, resulting in a more stable and predictable piece of wood.  This is great for necks, especially, and will minimize the need for adjustments between seasons and different weather conditions.  An extra added bonus from this process is that, while stabilizing figured maple, which is typically not so stable, it also greatly enhances the colour and figure in the wood.  The finished product usually looks stunning and has improved tone, which is why it usually is the choice of wood for boutique and high end guitars.

This neck is perfect as an upgrade as if you are building your own parts caster. No expense has been spared in terms of the materials used in this amazing neck.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a brand new guitar neck that has never been installed, there are no screw holes at the heel . Please purchase Tuners, String Tree and Neck Plate separately. On vintage style tuners you get slight variations on bushing sizes, from 7.5mm to 8.2mm across different brands of tuners, the hole will be on the smaller side to prevent loose bushings or having to plug the holes and re-drill. If the bushings are a tight fit use a press or widen the hole slightly with a 8mm drill bit (slowly and with drill in reverse to prevent chipping) or use a reamer.. Whether your current neck has 21 or 22 frets it does not matter, the scale length is still the same. You can replace it with a 21 fret neck OR a 22 fret neck, the extra fret extends over the heel of the neck on a 22 fret neck whereas the 21 fret neck the fretboard ends and sits flush with the heel. This neck truss rod should be adjusted with a flat head screw driver, we sell pickguards that can make access to this adjustment nut easier so you don't need to remove the neck from the guitar.
