MULTIPLE WORKSTATIONS FROM A SINGLE PC
Terminal clients are the answer to SMME computer or IT needs. The low power low cost terminal client enable you to use a single desktop PC as server. Clients have a monitor, keyboard and mouse with the terminal client device as communication medium between the PC (SERVER) and the client desktop unit using standard networking technology.
This low cost solution will enable you to expand the resources of your IT to multiple people using a single PC base. All the data and documents will be easily accessable by all clients, and printer sharing is made easy.
The terminal client device use less than 5 Watt of power and will save on energy cost. The terminal client is not a PC and do not need constant repairs and software installtions. You only need to maintain the main PC and all clients will be updated.
Up to 30 users (depending on the specifications of the main PC) is supported on the device.
THe device is easy to setup and come with instruction manual on CD and software.
WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
Up for grabs on the auction is the unit represented on the left. It is a square black box, with a small motherboard that has embedded software to control over a network cable software that will present on a LCD or similar screen a virtual desktop, that a user could use to perform normal pc tasks. The unit was used for demonstration purposes and is in full working condition. NO WARRANTY OFFERED.
NOT INCLUDED AND NEEDED FOR THE DEVICE TO WORK: LCD Monitor, KEYBOARD, MOUSE, NETWORK CABLE, DESKTOP PC loaded with all the software you wish to have your desktop clients to be able to work on.
A full setup for 5 clients with a network workgroup printer will need the following:
