Teslagrad PS4

Teslagrad on PS4 is a 2D puzzle platformer that uses magnetism and electromagnetic powersas its central gameplay mechanic. The game takes place in a non-linear, steampunk-inspired version of old Europe, within an abandoned structure known as the Tesla Tower. 

Gameplay and Mechanics

• Core Mechanics: The primary focus is on utilizing principles of electromagnetism to solve complex puzzles and navigate the environment. Players acquire abilities like a polarity-changing glove, which allows them to attract or repel specific objects and platforms.
• Exploration: The game features Metroidvania elements, where new powers unlock access to previously unreachable areas and hidden secrets.
• Challenges: The game includes action segments and challenging boss fights that require clever use of the acquired magnetic abilities to overcome. 

Story and Presentation

• Plot: The player controls a young boy who is suddenly pursued by the king's officers and takes refuge in the mysterious Tesla Tower. Inside, he uncovers a long-forgotten conspiracy involving a despotic ruler and ancient "Teslamancer" technology.
• Storytelling: The narrative is told entirely through voiceless, purely visual storytelling, utilizing environmental details and "puppet shows" to convey the plot and lore, encouraging player interpretation.
• Aesthetics: The game features over 100 beautifully hand-drawn environments with a distinct artistic style, and an orchestral soundtrack that complements the atmosphere. 

Other Features

• No HUD/GUI: The gameplay is presented without cutscenes, loading screens, or an on-screen user interface, contributing to a seamless, immersive experience.
• Secrets: There are 36 hidden scrolls throughout the game that, when collected, provide further insight into the story.
