These stones are imported in batches and tested on arrival by a gemologist to determine whether it is a natural unheated stone. You can also request a valuation and certificate at an additional cost of R250. The Gem Lab takes approximately 2 weeks before i receive the stones following their grading. Even Moissanites are tested despite it being a lab created stone, to ensure it tests at least 9.25 on the MOH's scale.
