The Texecom Premier Elite ComIP Ethernet Communicator Module connects a compatible Texecom alarm panel to a wired local or wide area network. Designed for professional alarm installers and system integrators, it supports network-based alarm signalling, Wintex upload and download, and compatible remote-control functions. The module fits inside the alarm-panel enclosure and is powered directly through the supplied communication harness.
Key Features
- Connects the alarm panel to a wired network. The onboard RJ45 port provides Ethernet connectivity through a compatible router, network switch or LAN connection.
- Supports remote panel programming. Installers can use Texecom Wintex to upload, download and manage compatible panel programming across the network.
- Enables IP alarm signalling. Compatible alarm events can be transmitted to a suitably configured Alarm Receiving Centre over an IP network.
- Supports secure system polling. The module can provide regular communication checks between the alarm installation and compatible monitoring infrastructure.
- Provides mobile access on supported systems. Compatible Premier Elite mobile applications can be used for functions such as arming, disarming, part arming, resetting and receiving notifications, subject to panel firmware and service availability.
- Integrates with automation systems. Texecom identifies the ComIP as suitable for compatible Crestron and similar home-automation integrations.
- Powered by the alarm panel. No separate local power supply is required because the module receives power through the supplied panel harness.
- Fits inside the control-panel enclosure. The compact module mounts internally using the supplied self-adhesive feet, keeping the network interface protected within the alarm system.
Compatibility & Software Support
Compatible with supported Texecom Premier Elite 12, 24, 48, 88, 168 and 640 control panels. It also supports selected older Premier 412, 816, 816 Plus, 832, 48, 88, 168 and 640 panels when the required firmware version is installed.
The module connects to an available panel communication port and requires a wired Ethernet connection to the propertys router or network switch. Configuration may involve assigning or reserving an IP address, programming the panel communication port and adjusting router settings for remote access.
Wintex can be used for compatible local or remote panel programming. App support depends on the panel firmware, network configuration and continued availability of the applicable Premier Elite mobile application.
This ComIP module is not a SmartCom and should not be advertised as compatible with the current Texecom Connect platform.
Professional installation by a technician familiar with alarm panels and TCP/IP networking is recommended.

Did You Know?
- The ComIP is a wired Ethernet communicator, not a Wi-Fi module. A physical network cable must run from the modules RJ45 socket to a router, network switch or other suitable Ethernet connection.
- Local network access and remote internet access are not the same thing. Wintex may communicate with the module on the local network after basic setup, while remote access can require additional router configuration, a fixed address or a compatible dynamic-address service.
- The ComIP predates Texecoms current SmartCom-based Connect platform. It remains useful for compatible Wintex, alarm-reporting and integration applications, but a buyer specifically requiring Texecom Connect should use the appropriate SmartCom solution instead.
