The Texecom Premier Elite ComPort+ is a plug-on serial expansion module for compatible Premier Elite alarm control panels. Designed for professional installers and system integrators, it converts the panels onboard digital communicator connection into Com Port 3. This allows an additional compatible serial device to be connected without replacing the control panel.

Key Features

Adds a third serial communication port. Each module converts the compatible panels onboard digi connector into Com Port 3 for an additional supported device.
Supports several connections at once. The expanded system can use up to three serial communication ports simultaneously, subject to panel and device compatibility.
Plugs directly onto the panel. The module connects to the control panels 10-way onboard digi pins, reducing the need for a separate interface cable between the module and panel.
Provides local computer access. When paired with a compatible Texecom USBCom, the module can provide a local PC connection for panel upload, download and programming.
Works with supported serial accessories. Compatible devices available in the panels Com Port 3 programming menu can be assigned to the added connection.
Adds minimal power demand. The module draws less than 1 mA before the power requirements of the connected device are added.
Compact internal installation. Its small PCB format allows the module to be installed inside the alarm-panel enclosure without requiring a separate external housing.

Compatibility & Integration

Compatible with supported Texecom Premier Elite 12, 24, 48, 64, 88 and 168 control panels running V3 firmware or later. The connected accessory must be supported by the panels Com Port 3 programming options.

The Premier Elite 640 already has Com Port 3 and does not normally require this module. A USBCom is required when the module is being used for a direct local PC connection.

Professional installation and panel programming are recommended.

Did You Know?

The ComPort+ is not an internet, Wi-Fi or app communicator. It adds a serial communication port, so internet connectivity still requires an appropriate Texecom communication device.
This module does not add alarm zones, areas, user codes or wireless-device capacity. Its purpose is specifically to provide Com Port 3 for compatible serial equipment.
A USBCom is still required when connecting a laptop directly to the panel. The ComPort+ creates the required serial port but does not act as the computers USB interface.
