Texecom Premier Elite OH-W Wireless Smoke & Heat Detector

The Texecom Premier Elite OH-W Wireless Optical and Heat Fire Detector combines smoke and heat sensing with Ricochet mesh communication for compatible Texecom Premier Elite alarm systems. Designed for indoor residential and light-commercial applications, it provides a local audible warning while reporting alarm and status information to the control panel. It is suited to installations where fire detection must be added to an existing Ricochet system without running signal cable to the detector.

Key Features

• Monitors both smoke and temperature. Optical and heat sensing allows the detector to respond to smoke as well as rising temperature conditions.
• Provides a local audible warning. The integrated 85 dB(A) sounder alerts people near the detector when an alarm condition is detected.
• Reports alarms to the control panel. When activated, the detector sends an alarm message to the compatible Premier Elite panel, where the programmed zone name and event can be displayed.
• Uses Ricochet mesh communication. Compatible Ricochet devices can receive and repeat wireless messages, helping maintain communication across a properly designed installation.
• Provides clear status indications. A tri-colour LED and audible chirps communicate normal operation, alarm, contamination, trouble and low-battery conditions.
• Includes a Hush/Test control. The front button allows the local sounder to be tested and can temporarily silence certain warning chirps.
• Operates without power cabling. Three supplied AAA batteries power the detector, with an estimated service life of up to 1.5 years depending on use and environmental conditions.
• Suitable for Grade 2 systems. The detector is designed for compatible systems conforming to EN14604, EN50131 and PD6662 Grade 2, Class II requirements.

Compatibility & App Support

This 868 MHz detector requires a compatible Texecom Premier Elite control panel running version 2.11 or later, together with Ricochet wireless capability or a suitable wireless expander. It does not connect directly to a mobile app. App notifications or remote monitoring depend on the alarm panel, communicator and services configured by the installer.

Whats Included

• 1 x Texecom Premier Elite OH-W Wireless Optical and Heat Fire Detector (GBN-0001, white, with mounting base)
• 1 x Pack of mounting screws and fixings
• 3 x AAA 1.5V Batteries (approved type; supplied brand may vary)

Note: The Premier Elite alarm panel, Ricochet receiver or expander and alarm-system communicator are not included.

Did You Know?

• When correctly configured, an alarm message from one OH-W detector can be relayed to other configured Premier Elite OH detectors so that they also sound. This can provide a wider audible warning across the protected property.
• Pressing the detectors Test button checks its local sounder and indicators, but it does not transmit a test signal to the control panel. The complete alarm connection must be tested separately using the panels commissioning procedure.
• The detector monitors its sensing chamber for contamination. If dirt affects operation, it uses a yellow status light and periodic chirp to indicate that cleaning or maintenance is required.
