Texecom Premier External TD-W Wireless Outdoor PIR Detector White

The Texecom Premier External TD-W GBW-0002 Wireless Outdoor PIR Detector in White is designed to monitor driveways, gardens, entrances and other external areas around homes and commercial properties. It communicates through Texecoms Ricochet wireless mesh network, making it suitable for installations where running alarm cable to the detector would be difficult. Its white housing provides a neat finish on light-coloured walls, pillars and exterior building surfaces.

Key Features

• Protects outdoor areas without alarm cabling. Ricochet wireless communication connects the detector to a compatible Texecom alarm system without a wired zone connection.
• Matches the detection distance to the property. The installer can select a maximum range of 2, 5, 8 or 12 metres, helping prevent the detector from monitoring beyond the intended boundary.
• Aims coverage in the required direction. The detector monitors a fan-shaped area up to 90° wide. Its internal detection head can be repositioned across a 180° adjustment range to aim that area left, right or straight ahead.
• Uses two separate PIR sensors. Non-overlapping twin mirrored PIR optics require controlled detection across both sensing sections, helping reduce unwanted activations in exposed outdoor environments.
• Built for external installation. The IP65 enclosure and conformally coated electronics provide protection against rain, dust and changing weather conditions.
• Adapts to day and night use. The detector can operate continuously or be configured for night-only operation, depending on the security application.
• Provides extended battery operation. Two supplied AA lithium batteries provide up to four years of typical battery life, depending on activity, signal conditions and system configuration.
• Monitors interference with the detector. Wall and case tamper protection can notify the alarm system if the housing is opened or removed from its mounting surface.

Compatibility & App Support

The Premier External TD-W requires a compatible Texecom Premier or Premier Elite alarm system with a suitable Ricochet wireless receiver or expander. Panel and receiver firmware compatibility should be checked by the installer before enrolment. The detector does not connect directly to a mobile app and cannot operate as a standalone alarm.

Whats Included

• 1 x Texecom Premier External TD-W Wireless Outdoor PIR Detector (GBW-0002, white)
• 2 x 1.5V AA Lithium Batteries

Note: The alarm panel, Ricochet receiver or expander, cameras, lights and gate-control equipment are not included.

Did You Know?

• The 180° figure describes how far the internal detection head can be repositioned. The detectors active coverage remains a fan-shaped area up to 90° wide and does not become a 180° detection field.
• Texecom instructs installers to enrol the detector before mounting it. Inserting the batteries automatically begins the wireless learning sequence when the compatible system is already in learn mode.
• The stated range settings are based on a nominal mounting height of approximately 1.2 metres. Texecom recommends selecting the shortest range that adequately covers the area because vegetation, reflective surfaces and other environmental conditions can affect practical coverage.
