The Texecom RKP16Plus LED Keypad is a wired remote keypad for compatible Texecom Premier alarm systems, giving users clear zone status indication and everyday control from a convenient entry point. It is suited to residential and light commercial installations where a simple, reliable LED keypad is preferred over an LCD keypad. With 16 zone indicators, backlit touchtone keys and two additional programmable zone inputs, it gives installers a practical way to expand control and add local detection points at the keypad position. This is a professional alarm system component and should be installed by a qualified security installer.

Flexible keypad placement. Connection is via the Texecom 4-wire data bus, supporting star, daisy-chain or combined wiring layouts depending on the installation design.
Supports multi-keypad systems. Up to six keypads can be connected to a compatible Premier system, making it useful for properties that need control points at more than one entrance.
Installer-addressable setup. Each keypad is assigned its own address using DIP switches, helping the control panel identify multiple keypads correctly on the data bus.

Did You Know?

Each keypad on a Premier system must have its own address. Setting two keypads to the same address can cause communication and identification problems on the data bus.
The two keypad zone inputs are not automatically active just because the keypad is wired in. They must be enabled in panel programming before they can be used as part of the alarm system.
Long cable runs need proper voltage checks at the keypad. Texecom recommends ensuring the keypad receives no less than 10.0V, especially when multiple keypads are installed in series.

Compatibility & App Support

The Texecom RKP16Plus LED Keypad is compatible with Texecom Premier 412, Premier 816, Premier 816 Plus and Premier 832 control panels. The older installation manual notes that Premier 412 and Premier 816 panels require Version 2.1 or higher panel software, so installers should confirm panel firmware and system compatibility before fitting. This keypad does not provide app control by itself. It is a wired keypad for local operation of a compatible Texecom Premier alarm panel.
