The Texecom Ricochet Expansion Pack is an 8-zone wireless expansion solution designed to add Ricochet wireless devices to a compatible existing wired alarm system. It is ideal for professional installers upgrading homes, offices, shops, garages and outbuildings where running new detector cable would be difficult or disruptive. The included wireless expander and interface module convert signals from up to eight compatible Ricochet devices into individual wired zone connections for the host alarm panel.

- Uses Ricochet mesh technology. Compatible wireless devices communicate through a mesh network that can receive and repeat messages rather than relying only on direct point-to-point communication.
- Simplifies device enrolment. The built-in learn switch and LED array allow the installer to enrol and identify up to eight wireless devices directly at the expander.
- Reports important system conditions. Dedicated connections are available for global tamper, wireless-device low battery and polling-error indications when suitable spare panel inputs are provided.
- Supports professional system diagnostics. Compatible engineering tools can be used to assist with device enrolment, wireless signal assessment and system testing.
- Suitable for Grade 2 applications. The expansion solution can form part of an EN50131 Grade 2 Class II installation when connected to a compliant alarm panel and installed according to the applicable requirements.
Compatibility & App Support
The expansion pack requires a compatible wired alarm panel with a 1013.7 V DC auxiliary supply and up to eight spare normally closed zone inputs. It supports selected Texecom Ricochet motion detectors, wireless contacts, shock sensors and panic buttons. It is not compatible with Texecom SmartKey devices, Ricochet DualTech detectors or Ricochet wireless sounders. The expansion pack has no mobile app or cloud connection of its own; any app control, remote access or notifications depend on the host alarm system and its installed communicator.

Note: Wireless detectors, batteries, alarm control panel, keypad, communicator, power supply, alarm cable and installation accessories are not included. The host panel must have suitable spare normally closed zone inputs. Professional installation, programming and testing are recommended.

- It can upgrade compatible non-Texecom panels. The iXP-W interface converts Ricochet wireless-device signals into conventional wired zone outputs that a suitable alarm panel can monitor.
- The system supports mixed wireless devices. Up to eight compatible Ricochet motion detectors, contacts, shock sensors or panic buttons can be enrolled in the required combination.
- The mesh needs time to commission. After learning and positioning the wireless devices, the system should be left for approximately 15 minutes before final walk-testing so the Ricochet network can establish correctly.
