THAI LIME x 3 seeds

When you start THAI lime seedlings from dry seeds, soak the seeds for a couple of hours before putting them in the soil to soften the seed shell. The wet seeds will feel a little bit slimy but that is common for lime seeds. Once the seedlings develop a second set of true leaves, put them in a slightly bigger pot.

K limes are also known as Thai Limes or Makrut across the world. These fragrant leaves (and the fruit) are widely used in Thai cuisine, adding a fresh and zesty flavour to classic recipes either for taste or to balance out other strong ingredients.

However, most citrus seeds are relatively easy to grow, including those from limes. While it's possible to grow a lime tree from seed, don't expect to see any fruit right away. The downside to growing lime trees from seed is that it can take anywhere from four to ten years before they produce fruit, if at all.
