Short Description
"The Victor" was launched by DC Thomson in 1961. Its distinctive colour covers, front and back, carried an explosive action story of true wartime heroism. Morris Heggie has worked at iconic British comics publisher DC Thomson in Dundee for nearly 40 years. He began as trainee subeditor on The Rover in an office next door but one to The Victor's editorial team, and kept a close eye on the way they paid attention to historical details. Morris has spent the latter part of his career working on The Beano and The Dandy, but his in-house knowledge of The Victor's heritage and back-issue archive is second to none.
