Description:	G.C. Finch Davies, a British Soldier and Ornithologist, did a series of paintings of South African Birds in the early part of the 20th century. These painting, although among the best, was seen by very few people, until the curator of the Transvaal Museum, Alan Kemp, who also did the text in the book, got everything and everybody together to produce this limited edition practical showcase of the art of Mr Finch-Davies.
