Hardcover first published 1957 by Andre Deutsch. The card jacket is whole and crisp, with light wear to the edges and several small chips and tears. Some soil is evident on the rear panel, and the spine is sunned. The boards are clean, square and unmarked. There is intermittent mild foxing to the first few and last pages, and light shelf soil to the top edges of the pages. "Lepotane. son of the chief of a remote village in basutoland, becomes innocently involved in a ritual murder which goes awry."
