Published by Paul Hamlyn, 1965, hardcover, illustrated, index, 220 pages, 21.5 cms x 28.6 cms, condition: as new.

I purchased this book specifically to get a better understanding of the subject of elemental hand shapes, which Fred Gettings was the first to introduce to the world of palmistry. I was not disappointed. After much study I decided to go straight to the source, and was gifted with great detail and discussion of each of the elements and how it plays out in the hand in combination with the other features. That alone was worth the price of the book.
I am an amateur palm reader of the parlor variety. This reference book is a serious in depth study of the hand and it's many secrets. History of its use in ancient times raises the status of true palmistry. If one were to ingest and practice the knowledge contained here, they would be worthy of devining an individual's character.
