These awards ran for only two years (2003 and 2004) ending with Kebble's murder in 2005. Kebble was one of the leading art collectors of his generation and was a strong supporter of young artists from the "New" South Africa. The Awards were a major showcase. The 2004 awards were curated by Clive van den Berg. This is a fine copy of a book of an exhibition which "can be seen as an index of the state of South African art".
