The Bromeliad Lexicon by Werner Rauh, Edited by Peter Temple- A definitive work of reference.

Reliable modern reference books dealing in detail with 'the pineapple family of plants'- the bromeliads- were virtually non-existent until the German publication of Professor Werner Rauh's comprehensive two-volume work Bromelien. This work coincided with increasinly widespread international interest in collecting and growing these plants. The two-volumes, translated into English and presented in one volume, according to Professor Rauh's reccommendations, thus filled the void inn the existing literature and represented a major publishing landmark>,P.

The Original English edition is now republished here as The Bromeliad Lexicon. All of the 134 coloured plates, 315 black and white photographs and 90 line drawings of the original German volumes have been retained.
