Light insect marks to the cloth on the top edge of the front board. Ink name and date on the front free end-paper. Some uniform browning and other light markings on the end-papers. Substantial chips to the panels of the dust-jacket (2 chips, 4 cm x 1.5 cm) and some other smaller ones. Closed tears, creases and soiling to the dust-jacket. Arthur Rackham (19 September 1867 - 6 September 1939) is possibly one of the most well-known artists who fall into the period of the "Golden Age" (1870 - 1930) of book illustrators. He is famous for his fairy tales and children's book illustration. The Compleat Angler was first published in 1653, but Izaak Walton continued to add to it for a quarter of a century.
