Rupert Chawner Brooke (3 August 1887 - 23 April 1915) was an English poet known for his idealistic war sonnets written during the First World War, especially The Soldier. He died at age 27 from an infected mosquito bite while on his way to the landings at Gallipoli. 

First edition 1932. This is the 7th impression of 1935 by Sidgwick & Jackson, London. Condition: Fair. Rough-cut edges. Edges and some pages foxed. Binding sturdy.
