The Complete Works of Shakespeare Revised from the Original Editions with Historical and Analytical

 Book Description: The London Printing and Publishing Company Limited, London.  Kenny Meadows (illustrator).  In three volumes, 1-Comedies, 2-Tragedies, 3-Histories. All three volumes are in good condition although the covers are showing wear where they have been rubbed removing and replacing on shelves. Each one is bound in cloth board with leather corners and spine, the latter having the titling in sections with raised section dividers. All have foxing on first few and last few pages and to a varying extent throughout the volumes. There are one or two other markings, accidental and deliberate within the volumes, but not obtrusive.  Each volume has a frontispiece with William Shakespeare's picture and a cameo of each play in the volume. Illustrations are numerous and of different types, plates, caricatures, line drawings, chapter headings etc. Published around 1850 to 1870. Volume one has 640 pages, volume two has 586 pages and volume 3 has 641 pages. These 3 volumes are in very good condition for their age. Large and heavey books.
