Hardcover first published 1933 by William Heinemann, no jacket. The extremities of the boards are lightly edge-worn, with marks and slight bumps in places, and the spine is sunned. Both front and back are gently bowed. Internally the remnant of a pencil notation appears on the pictorial end-paper, and the bookplate of a previous owner is pasted to the reverse of that page. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked, and all photographic plates are present and well bound.
