Author Gar Alperovitz puts forward his well researched study, as to if it was really necessary for
the Atomic Bomb to have been dropped on Japan.
The Japanese fearing that the Russians were about to join in the war against them, were just
about to surrender - and Alperovitz argues that the Americans were well aware of the fact
that by dropping this monstrous weapon, it ultimately and militarily gained them and their
allies nothing.
