Book  in good condition. Inscription and signature on front end page. Jacket frayed along the edges.
Peter Scott was the son of Captain Robert Falcon Scott of Antarctic fame. The captain became a national hero when he died tragically in the Antarctic in 1912. Peter, the author of this book made his name by excelling in many fields:
a painter (birds and portraits); an ornithologist; world traveller; naval officer (Second World War); yacht racing champion; glider pilot; author and broadcaster and TV personality. A lovely book to read and enjoy. The story of a man who described himself as "the luckiest and I believe, the happiest man I know!"
