Peter Scott was the son of Captain Robert Falcon Scott of Antarctic fame. The captain became a national hero when he died tragically in the Antarctic in 1912. Peter, the author of this book made his name by excelling in many fields:
a painter (birds and portraits); an ornithologist; world traveller; naval officer (Second World War); yacht racing champion; glider pilot; author and broadcaster and TV personality.
