Hermann Wilhelm Rudolf Marloth ( 1855 1931 ) was a German-born botanist, pharmacist and analytical chemist,best known for his Flora of South Africa which appeared in six superbly illustratedvolumes between 1913 and 1932. On a visit to South Africa in 1905, commissioned Rudolf Marloth to undertakehis Flora of South Africa, a mammoth work published in 6 volumesbetween 1913 and 1932.
