Condition Very Good. Boards are foxed and age-toned, with light stain to lower corner of back cover but otherwise no shelf-or edge-wear, corners sharp. Top edge foxed. Title and author name on spine and front cover crisp and bright. Illustrated endpapers foxed and age-toned. Owner name in pen on fly leaf. Tightly bound, text complete, no missing or loose pages, no tears. A couple of isolated spots of foxing and one or two finger smudges inside, but on the whole clean. No underlining or highlighting, no inscriptions, no marginalia.

DJ Condition: Poor. Considerable shelf-wear, foxed, age-toned, scuffed. Edges worn, chipped. Tear along front hinge fixed with tape. Damp-staining along spine. Front flap missing.
