Originally these two books were published way back in 1878 and 1879 respectively. The author, Richard Jefferies, was born in 1848. The Gamekeeper at home recaptures Jefferies's youth spent in the company of a gamekeeper. The Amateur Poacher deals with the more illicit pastimes of rural life. Sensitive writing on natural history and rural life in late Victorian England. No shipping overseas.
