Description: Duckworth, London. May, 1928, 8th impression. Hard cover, no dustjacket. "Being an account of the experiences with captain Scott's South Pole expidition and of the nature life of the Antarctic." Condition: Very rough! There is major insect damage to the covers. The top quarter of the spine is missing. There is a previous owners book plate and stamp on the front paste down. There are two further stamps to pages in the book. The page edges are dusty and spotty and the binding is loose in places. Two of the photos are loose. There is a picture of birds stuck to one of the endpapers. This still makes a very good read with great black and white pics, and might be effectively recased.
