Condition: Very good. Front board has some rubbing and edgewear, rear board has some rubbing, edgewear and light scuff marks. There are small cracks to the spine where it meets both the boards, but the binding and spine are intact. Some shelfwear and chipping to spine at top and tail. Crack between title page and frontispiece, between page 14 and 15 and at the rear of book between page 846 and 847. Small marking in pen to preface page. Very light insect damage to top edge of last few pages and rear pastedown, no text missing. Very last photograph has some text missing where it stuck to the rear free endpaper, but the photograph itself is not damaged. Previous bookseller's label to rear pastedown. The text is clean and clear, and this is still a well-bound volume.
