NOTE: Appendix H from page 569-583 has proven to be a very useful source in the study of early Afrikaans Folk-Songs "Volksliederen", as it contains early versions with slight variations of some of the most popular songs of the day. Volume I is in very good condition although part of the front endpaper has been excised vertically. Volume II is also in very good condition with two former owner bookplates on the front paste down (H.F. Thompson) and endpaper (G.B. Nourse).
