Unlike U.S. submarines in WW2, books covering the history of British submarines during that period are much more difficult to find to say the least. When this one popped up, I grabbed it and am very glad that I did. This gem covers the history of the U&V classes of smaller ocean going submarines from their inception through the end of WW2 where they served in all theaters of naval operations of the Royal Navy. Both their successes and losses are covered in sufficient detail to make this volume thorough enough and interesting for most naval history buffs. Highly recommended.
