The Holy Bible with apocrypha and maps, King James, Eyre and Spottiswoode publishers, leather gilded bookplate, original brass clasp & corners, with designs, raised spine with gilt lettering, also gilt edging to pages & gilt design to inside edges of covers,fresh endpapers, fully restored & renovated, 24 cms x 28.8 cms x 7 cms, condition: very good.
Altogether a fine example of a mid-nineteenth century King James , restored to robust condition and capable of giving service as an showpiece family bible or for use in the formal setting of a chapel for many years to come.
