The Impressionist by Hari Kunzru is a comic saga about an English civil servant and Hinud bride who cross paths in a remote corner of India during a cataclysmic rainstorm. Nine months later a boy is born. This novel tells the story of this boy's life as he is rected by his father and begins a haphazard journey through the bizarre dark side of the British Empire.
The book is in good condition. The corners of the cover and spine show very slight signs of use. There is a light water mark on the top corner of the first few pages. A wonderful story about a man looking for his true identity and home!
