This appears to be a first edition, but I doubt it, although no previous publication dates are mentioned, only the Ward Lock & Co date of 1910. The work was completed in 1870. Therefore I am not selling this as a first edition but rather as a collectable. The overall condition is good. The cover is beautifully embossed. There is faint scuffing at the spine. The paper is yellowing a bit, as is to be expected in a book of this age.
