The Invisible Line: The Life and Photography of Ken Oosterbroek
(Mike Nicol)
Published by Kwela Books (in association with Random House) (1998)
"Ken Oosterbroek (14 February 1963 – 18 April 1994), was a South African photojournalist and member of The Bang-Bang Club. He worked for The Star in Johannesburg, which was South Africa's biggest daily broadsheet. He won numerous photography awards for his work.
Oosterbroek, killed 'in action', was a legendary South African news photographer and whose legacy resounds still. This, at times unbearably moving and shocking book, vividly, graphically, powerfully pieces a quilt of his work, threaded by the text of journalist and novelist Mike Nicol."
