This Caterpillar is named Chumley. The simple expression sums up this piece, "If winter is coming, then summer can't be far behind".

Chumley is rapped up for winter, and on his behind is what he will become in the summer. Hence, "can be far behind".

These pieces were hand crafted in Mr John Biccards studio in Cape Town. They were made in modest quantities and are collectors pieces. They are intended to be handled, viewed from all angles and to make you smile, thus giving pleasure. Each piece carries Mr Biccards monogram.

This piece is in excellent condition.
