Hardcover, published by Victor Gollancz, 1963. The jacket is worn, rubbed, has several small tears, and the spine is sunned. There are a few notes written in pen on the back panel, and much insect damage to particularly the spine and folds. The reverse is spotted. The boards are bumped and sunned in places. The name of a previous owner is written neatly in pen on the first end paper. All pages are aged, and some have spotting, to a great or lesser extent, but are otherwise unmarked. From the jacket: "Emma Hamilton, the most renowned woman of her day, had a career of astonishing adventure from the age of fifteen to that of thirty-three, when she met Nelson."
