University of Texas professor, David Gale, is a fierce and active opponent of the death penalty. But in a cruel twist of fate, he finds himself on death row condemned to die for the brutal rape and murder of fellow anti-capital punishment activist Constance Harraway. With only three days until his scheduled execution, Gale agrees to give his first ever interview to Pulitzer hungry reporter Elizabeth Bloom. As Gale unfolds his story to Bloom, her initial cynicism gives way to the realisation that she has more than a story on her hands and indeed may hold the key to the man's survival, and time is running out. Putting her own safety in jeopardy, she frantically races to piece together the shocking events surrounding Constance's death, before it's too late.
